Dino Runner: the T-Rex game with levels
The classic Chrome dinosaur game never ends — you run until you hit a cactus, and that's the whole game. Dino Runner takes the same T-Rex and gives each run a goal. You're dropped into a numbered level with two objectives, and you either clear both in one run or try again.
There are ten levels. Level 1 asks for 1,000 metres and 50 coins; level 10 asks for 15,000 metres and 1,000 coins. Clear a level and you go straight to the next one.
Controls
- Space or Up arrow — jump. On phones and tablets, tap the screen.
- Down arrow — duck under pterodactyls without leaving the ground.
Coins sit along the running line and sometimes mid-jump, so the fastest route and the safest route aren't always the same one.
How it differs from the classic game
- Runs have an ending. Hit the distance and the coin count and the level is cleared — there's an actual win screen, which the original has no concept of.
- Coins change how you play. In the classic game, the only correct move is to avoid everything. Here you sometimes have to take a risk to make the coin target.
- Progress is saved. Cleared levels stay cleared in your browser, so you can come back later and continue.
- Same engine, same feel. The jump arc, the speed curve and the night-mode flip at 700 points all behave exactly as they do in the original.
Dino Runner FAQ
How many levels does Dino Runner have?
Ten. They scale from 1,000 metres and 50 coins on level 1 up to 15,000 metres and 1,000 coins on level 10, with the run speed rising throughout.
Do I have to hit both objectives in the same run?
Yes. Reaching the distance without the coins, or the coins without the distance, doesn't clear the level — you need both before you crash.
Is my progress saved?
Cleared levels are stored in your browser, so you can close the tab and come back later. Clearing your browser data, or using the Reset Progress button on the Dino World map, wipes it.
Can I play it at school?
It runs in the browser with no download or install, so it works on Chromebooks and restricted networks wherever the page itself loads.
Where to play
Dino Runner runs in the browser with no download, no install and no account, so it works on school Chromebooks, library machines and locked-down office networks — anywhere the page itself loads. It's touch-ready on mobile and works with your connection on or off.
See every stage on the Dino World map, play the original dinosaur game with no levels, or try Story Mode for coin collecting without targets.
